JC Events was established by Johanna Hower in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, 2008. Growing up in a family owned restaurant, Johanna began learning about the hospitality and events industry from a very young age. She watched customers wine and dine from a distance, absorbing their reactions and laughter, soaking up the ambience and the high quality of service that her parents would provide to ensure an unforgettable experience. This ignited a passion within Johanna, consequently it was a natural progression for her to start a career in the hospitality, hotel and events industry after completing her studies.
Johanna gained invaluable experience in the 14 years that followed, working in managerial positions within the industry both in Australia and overseas. In 2004 Johanna acquired a prominent position at a healthcare communications agency in Sydney where she specialised in the organisation and management of pharmaceutical events. Johanna's inner desire to run her own business came to fruition in 2008 when JC Events was launched. JC Events continues to develop and maintain a solid clientele base in New South Wales and has recently expanded with a new office in Central Queensland to cater to the mining industry.
